In 1998 I purchased a beautiful apricot poodle puppy with champion bloodline. She was just gorgeous. I work full time so I leave my dogs and cats home. When I returned home from work as usual I was greeted at the door by this weird looking poodle. Her ear hair was gone and her topknot was broken off close to her head. I was puzzled and was trying to figure out what had happened to her in the time I was gone to work. Nothing like this had ever happened to any of my other dogs. I just dismissed it cause I couldn't figure it out.
 

Then low and behold in prances Itty-Bitty my cat who was also staying in the house while I was at work. Prissy, the poodle pup, approaches Iddy, the cat, and nudges her. Then they both lay down and Iddy proceeds to lick and groom Prissy. If Iddy stopped, Prissy would nudge her and get her started again. My mystery was solved. Consequently, I had to separate the two and they are no longer able to communicate with each other. I guess I should have sent Iddy to grooming school cause she sure had a lot of endurance when it came to grooming a poodle.
